Luminary Figures Group (LFG) was founded in 2021 by two visionary filmmakers, David O. Anderson and Raynel T. Almonte. Both David and Raynel brought together their individual production houses—ComposedIMAGE (David) and FrameArt Pictures (Raynel)—to form a collaborative force that would bring new energy to the local film industry in Buffalo, NY.
At Luminary Figures Group, our mission is to create films that resonate with audiences and reflect the unique culture and stories of our community. We believe in the power of storytelling and are dedicated to producing high-quality films that showcase local talent and locations, while pushing the boundaries of creativity.
David is a seasoned filmmaker with a passion for capturing the essence of his subjects. With ComposedIMAGE, he built a reputation for delivering visually stunning and emotionally compelling films. His expertise in cinematography and direction has been instrumental in shaping the visual style of LFG's projects.
Raynel is known for his innovative approach to filmmaking, blending traditional techniques with modern technology. As the founder of FrameArt Pictures, Raynel's work has always been marked by a strong narrative focus and an eye for detail. His role at LFG has been pivotal in crafting the stories that connect with audiences on a deeper level.
Since its inception, Luminary Figures Group has produced four short films, one series currently in post-production, and a feature film, Slapped Straight. This feature film, known for its unique hip-hop theme and local cultural elements, has been a significant milestone for LFG, earning critical acclaim and a dedicated following in the Buffalo and Niagara Falls areas.
We are committed to continuing our journey of creating impactful films that tell the stories of our community and beyond.
